I think this is usually done so that the enemy general can get away, and you'll have to fight them one more time to beat them and kill them. I usually have a cav unity continue to attack the enemy general as I mop up the rest of the fleeing units, set the battle timer to fast, and kinda wait it out. (It's a feature, not a bug, when the enemy won't come at you with fewer numbers.)ДЄnd yes, you're right about the general not dying so easily. How tired your soldiers are heavily effects their moral in battle. I know that sometimes when my army has an advantage, the enemy will hold their ground so that I have to move towards them. Have you continue to play the mod since, or did you stop?

I'm surprised no one has commented on this, I guess then that mod looks great and really amazing in terms of complex changes but is still not really finished in details. Even in Total War: Warhammer characters are not so 'unkillable'.Д®nemy units also behaved in very strange way (AI charged my army only by elephants and let them die, rest of army just marched to half of field and then stayed - even didn't come closer to allow their slingers to shot). I tried last version of Ancient Empires yesterday, won easy on VH/ VH first battle in Roman Grand Campaign against Hannibal and found some strange things: I cannot kill enemy general (?) even when his unit was shattered - javelines didn't work, also my cavalry couldn't put him down. I checked yesterday what people write about it and most of comments are that mod is not really balanced, bugged and not polished.ДЄlso most of comments were that DeI mod to Rome II is much more better because is more stable, balanced and is fully finished.ДЄlthought most of these comments were from 2018, only few from 2019 and I saw that mod was updated all this year.
